Top bar tools

Six small tools on the right of the top bar: pick a colour, take screenshots, open many URLs, copy clean text and collect keyword ideas.

The six tools

The tools sit at the right end of the bar. The Tools tab in the popup has the same six, so they still work when the bar is off. Each one has its own switch in Settings.

Colour Picker

Your last 16 colours stay in the bar. Click a swatch to use it again. Pick takes another colour, Clear empties the history and X hides the colour bar.

  1. 1Click Color Picker. Your cursor becomes a picker.
  2. 2Click any colour on the screen. The hex code is copied for you.
  3. 3A colour bar opens under the top bar with the colour as HEX, RGB, HSL and RGBA. Click any of them to copy it.

Snipping Area

  1. 1Click Snipping Area. The page dims.
  2. 2Drag a box over the part you want. Drag the corners to change it.
  3. 3Mark it up with the toolbar: pen, arrow, rectangle, highlighter, text, numbered steps and blur for private details. Pick a colour, or use undo.
  4. 4Use the buttons beside the box to copy it, save it as PNG or cancel.
Select an area, mark it up, then copy or save it.

Full Page SS

Click Full Page SS and the page scrolls by itself and is joined into one long image. Do not scroll while it runs. The top bar hides so it is not in the picture.

A message tells you when it is done. The image is saved to your downloads and copied to your clipboard.

Long pages take longer, and parts that only load on scroll or stay fixed on screen may look different from the live page.

Bulk URLs

  1. 1Click Bulk URLs.
  2. 2Paste up to 50 addresses, or click "Fetch this site's URLs" to load them from the site's sitemap.
  3. 3The counter shows how many are valid. Duplicates are skipped.
  4. 4Click "Open all" to open each one in its own tab.

Clean Text

Click Clean Text to pull the article out of the page with its headings and lists, without menus, ads and the footer.

Switch between Plain text and Markdown. The word and character counts are at the bottom. Copy puts it on your clipboard and Download saves a file.

On unusual layouts a few extra lines can come along, so give it a quick read before you use it.

KWs Ideas

KWs Ideas opens the Keyword Ideas page, where you collect real search suggestions for a seed keyword. If you click it on a Google results page, your search becomes the seed.
