How the competitor tracker works

  1. Add a shop

Type the shop name or paste its Etsy link. You can follow up to 5 shops.

  2. We read its sales counter daily

Once a day we read the public sales counter Etsy shows on the shop page.

  3. See sales per day

Daily sales are the difference between two readings, so numbers start the day after you add a shop.

A gap means we have no number for that day.

What you see for each shop

Daily sales
The change in the shop's public sales counter from one day to the next.
Sales per day
The average over the last 7 days with a number. It shows from day 3.
Sales and revenue a month
Estimates from the last 30 days tracked, or from lifetime sales until then. Revenue shows once we know a typical price for the shop.
7 and 30 days
Sales over those periods. A star marks totals that are not complete yet.
Your shop
With your shop connected, its items sold show on the same chart.

How missed days are handled

When a reading is missed, the sales since the last reading are spread evenly over those days and marked with a star. If the counter goes down, from a refund or an Etsy correction, that day counts as 0. A day with no number shows a dash, never a made-up figure.

Questions about the competitor tracker

How the numbers work.

Etsy shows a public sales counter on the shop page. We read it once a day, and daily sales are the difference between two readings.
